This was to get the creative juices flowing! We asked for a small 100 word response to “where will you head next.” This was perfect timing as COVID-19 restrictions had just allowed camping again and had everyone thinking about their next best holiday trip they could plan. We had some detailed entries as well as some poetic responses. The winner Alistair Grant has a fantastic response as he planned to head to Wilsons Promontory.

"Nothing compares with the feeling of rounding the final bend and hearing the roaring of the surf. As you dump your pack, your weariness vanishes and you bounce down the white sands into the chill of the Southern Ocean. When the initial surge of adrenaline fades and the chill kicks in, you retreat back up into pristine bushland and revel in the simplicity of your portable stove and tent. Little Waterloo Bay is one of nature’s marvels, remote, hard to access but stunningly beautiful. Wilson’s Promontory will be the place where I refresh my soul again."

Where will my next adventure will be and why?

It’ll be where I can see bright stars in the night sky;

where the wily trout rise to my fly;

where the cockatoos screech and cry.

And there, I shall depressurize.
