Handy Hint

Whilst travelling overseas make sure you know where your Country Embassy is. Keep yourself informed about current world issues and visit internet cafes regularly to keep in touch with family and friends, make sure you keep them updated with your travel plans. Before you leave organise necessary credit cards and register for Internet Banking so you can keep track of your accounts while you are away. Other things to think about include travel insurance, traveller’s cheques and making sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months. Photocopy your passport, driver’s licenses, and other identifi cation and keep a copy in the bottom of your backpack in case you lose your passport or have it stolen.
