Tents

Swag
Aussie Disposals Tent range combines years of experience and our buying power to offer a range of durable tents that represent excellent value for money. From a lightweight 2 man dome to a huge 10 berth family tent, the Aussie Disposal range gives you plenty of choice.

Many tents have Aussie Disposals own combination of
innovations, like storage compartments, heavy duty zips and more. Aussie Disposals stores have a huge range of accessories and camping equipment to compliment the tent range.

Choosing Your Tent

The most important thing about choosing a tent is to make sure it's the right one for your needs. Make sure it's big enough. Look for adequate ventilation and light. Does it have enough rooms and entrances for your group size? Is it appropriate for the weather and conditions at your destination? Talk to our trained staff and they will help you select the right tent for your needs. Of course, we can assist you with all your outdoor accessories too!

Canvas Care Tips:

  • To ensure your tent is complete and includes necessary parts, always set your tent up before leaving on your trip
  • Keep your tent clean by using a very mild soap and sponge (never use detergent). Do not machine wash.
  • It is ideal to place a ground sheet down on the ground before erecting your tent, as this will ensure longevity of your tent floor. A poly tarp is ideal for this.
  • Cotton and canvas tents should be hosed down prior to first use.
  • Make sure your tent is dry before packing it away and store in a dry place in order to prevent possible mildew damage and odour.

Caring for your Swag:

  • When sleeping in close confines, such as a swag, condensation is likely to occur. The condensation is not a fault in the swag.
  • Always set up your swag prior to a trip and ensure all parts, (poles and pegs if included) are properly packed with your swag. Make sure the swag is dry before rolling it up, and is stored in a dry place to prevent mildew damage and odour.
  • Keep your swag clean by using a soft brush or sponge. Never use detergent.
  • If the fabric gets caught in the zipper, slowly pull back the zipper at the same time as pulling fabric away from it. If the zipper is difficult to move, apply a lubricant such as graphite powder.
  • Never set up a swag too close to a camp fire area, or where sparks from a camp fire may blow onto or inside your swag.
