Shipping and Returns
Shipping times specified are from the time of dispatch only, not from the day the order was placed.
If you require a faster delivery service than these options, then please contact us and we can assist with making arrangement for shipping via your preferred carrier. Any additional costs incurred because you choose a non-standard delivery method will be added to the cost of your order.
It is always best to have your parcel delivered to an address where you are sure that someone will be available to receive it during business hours. A business address is often good for this reason, but if you are having your parcel sent to work, remember to include your company’s name (and the department or level where you work).
Some of our goods are not permitted to be delivered because of health and safety reasons. Other times, such as knives, require the person to present themselves for identification. Some items are just too big and awkward or too valuable to be shipped safely. Most of these items are marked in the online store as “in store only”, so if you require such an item, please check the store locator on our website for your nearest store location.
Shipping charges are calculated based on the delivery method you choose. We use a program controlled by ‘Temando ‘ which will choose the best freighting option to suit your shipping needs. The shipping cost will be displayed when you use the “checkout” procedure when ordering.
Your purchase is calculated based on the weight and/or size of your purchase.
Weight is calculated by ‘Temando’ using two factors: how heavy the package is (gross weight) and how large it is (volumetric weight). The charge is based on whichever is the larger of the two. Gross weight is the weight of the item plus packaging. The cubic weight is the parcel's volume in cubic metres, multiplied by 250. For example, a parcel that is 50cm x 30cm x 25cm may have a gross weight of 4kg, but its volumetric weight is 9.375kg (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.25 x 250). As 9.375kg is the higher of the two, that will be the value used to calculate the delivery cost.
Free Shipping Offers
Exclusions apply on some products when free shipping is offered. Free shipping offers exclude: Fridges, Ice Boxes, Kayaks, Gift Cards, Tunnel tents or oversized and bulky items (Total cart weight over 25 Kilograms). Northern Territory is excluded from all free shipping offers due to expensive freighting costs.
Aussie Disposals stands behind the quality of our merchandise and is dedicated to providing high quality goods and services for our clients. If you are not happy with your online order for any reason, then do not hesitate to contact us so that we can endeavour to correct the situation.
In most cases, Aussie Disposals will accept the exchange of any unworn or un-used goods as long as they are in original condition and still have their tags. Please contact us first so that we can determine the best remedy.
You can return the goods with the original receipt as proof of purchase within 30 days.
If possible you should take your returns/exchanges to your nearest Aussie Disposals Store (see our online store locator for your nearest store). If you cannot get to a store, please contact us first on (03) 9799 5777 to discuss your reason for return and your preferred remedy i.e. whether you would like a bigger/smaller size, different colour etc. Where possible we will provide you with the requested exchange, but if out of stock we will provide you with a store credit. If we agree you can return these items, the postage costs on these returns will be borne by you and shipping and handling costs on returns are non-refundable. Returned items must be received by us in the same condition as you received them, so please pack any returned items carefully to ensure they arrive safely.
You are not entitled to seek a refund if you:
- Were aware of the relevant fault before buying the goods
- Damaged the goods by misusing them.
If unfortunately you receive damaged goods due to faulty workmanship then we will provide replacement goods at our discretion. Damaged or faulty goods may need to be returned to us; however you should return the goods to your nearest store for a faster resolution. Please contact us first so that we can determine the best remedy.
